The Gilded Age season 2 is confirmed to return for its 2nd season. The second season is a highly anticipated one. Given the fact that the first season just came out in January 2022, we can guess that the show is highly successful.
Today we take a look at how fast the new season can come and who all are going to be involved in it. So, let’s start.
Glided Age Season 2
At first, we would like to make it clear that officially nothing has been said. Whatever we will say can change. That being said, we expect season 2 to be directed by Michael Engler and Salli Richardson Whitfield. The second season should be written by Julian Fellowes who is also the creator of the show.
The Nemo Film and Television and Universal Television are expected to do the production for season 2. Moreover, Season 2 should have 8 episodes like season 1 which should be 40-80 minutes long.
As for the trailer, it should come out in the near future and the season itself should arrive by the first quarter of 2023.
As season one is right now premiering on HBO Max, the second season should also come out there. A more specific release date should be announced by HBO Max somewhere in late 2022.
Cast
The Gilded Age season 2 is expected to have the main cast from season 1. Thus, expect to see Denee Benton return as Peggy Scott, Taissa Farmiga return as Gladys Russell, Morgan Spector returns as George Russell, Louisa Jacobson return as Marian Brook, and Carrie Coon return as Bertha Russell.
Along with them, the 13 other cast members should also return for season 2.
Plot
Set in the New York City of 1882, the first season tells the story of the Rhijn-Brook family and Russel family. Both the families live on the same street, right in front of each other.
For now, it is difficult to say what could be the possible plot for The Gilded Age season 2.
We are saying this because the first season has not ended yet. To date, only the first 7 episodes have premiered on HBO Max.
Thus depending upon how season 1 ends, season 2 will be based on it only. The only thing that can be said for sure is that the story of season 1 should spill over into season 2.
Given how beautiful the plot for season 1 is it can be pictured that the plot for season 2 will be better. The IMDb rating of 8.1 out of 10 is also indicating this thing. The overwhelmingly positive response for season 1 is the reason why season 2 has been announced even before the end of season 2.
So, if you haven’t watched Glided Age season 1, then watch it today. It is a show that you should not miss especially if you are a history lover.
