After WhatsApp came with their new privacy policy where they said that the user data will be shared with their parent company Facebook, a lot of people started moving towards other apps which also provided end to end privacy as privacy is all they wanted.

EASY TO TRANSFER

If you are also planning to move to Telegram, another messaging app with complete user privacy, then here is good news for you. You can easily import all your chats directly from WhatsApp to Telegram. In the latest version of Telegram, there is a feature where the user can import their old conversations from WhatsApp.

It is really a cool feature as if you and your contacts are moving to another app and leaving WhatsApp, you will be able to access your old chat history on Telegram too, it won’t just get lost. But as your every contact might not be on Telegram, you will have to choose every chat one by one individually to import the conversation history.

But, just like a huge number of other applications, this feature is also just available for iPhone users, if you are an Android user, you might have to wait for some time before the feature comes to android. Here’s a step-by-step guide about how to transfer the chat history:

  1. Launch WhatsApp on your phone and open the chat which you want to copy to Telegram.
  2. Then click on options and go to the export chat option.
  3. Then a pop-up menu will appear where there will be Telegram among other options which you can select to export that chat to Telegram.

Though, you will have to repeat the step for every single chat which you want to move to Telegram.
