When Will “How I Met Your Father” is Going to Release?

How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM) ended on CBS more than seven years ago, but fans who miss Robin, Barney, Ted, Lily, and Ted—as well as those who are disappointed that the Lizzie McGuire Disney+ spinoff did not happen—are in luck.

Hilary Duff stars in the Hulu comedy series How I Met Your Father (HIMYF), a spin-off of How I Met Your Mother. This is Duff’s first show since the end of Younger, which lasted seven seasons.

Pam Fryman, who directed 196 of the 208 episodes of the original series, will direct the pilot episode. Although many fans were dissatisfied with the show’s finale, they will undoubtedly be pleased to see much of the same creative force driving this new endeavor. Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, who created the first series, will return as showrunners, along with Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.

What exactly is Duff’s involvement in the show?

Sophie, the show’s heroine and narrator, will be played by Duff, who will recount her son the narrative of how she met his father. The story opens in 2021, with Sophie and her close-knit group of pals living in—where else?—New York City.

“I’ve been really fortunate in my career to play some fantastic characters, and I’m excited to take on the part of Sophie.” “As a tremendous fan of How I Met Your Mother, I’m honored and even a little nervous that [HIMYM creators] Carter and Craig would entrust me with their baby’s sequel,” Duff told.

What will the format of the show be?

HIMYF will employ both multi-camera and single-camera techniques, much like the original. Sophie will tell her son how she went through the ups and downs of dating, working, and building long connections in Manhattan, much like Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) did.

Other than Duff, who else is in the cast?

We now know who will make up Sophie’s core group of friends. Francia Raisa (Grown-ish) will play Sophie’s roommate, Valentina, a close friend and stylist who has just returned from London Fashion Week with a new British lover named Charlie. “She’s impetuous and adventurous,” according to sources, and Sophie relies on Valentina’s ability to cheer her up when she’s depressed.
