The Rajasthan-based non-profit organisation “The App Store” has filed an appeal against Apple’s payment policies through the “Together We Fight Society.” According to the NGO, Apple abuses its position in the app market by forcing developers to use an in-app payment system and charging a fee of up to 30% per transaction. Furthermore, the South Korean National Assembly recently approved legislation prohibiting the use of Apple and Google App Developers.

Apple has stated that it will take longer to collect and improve feedback and improvements in the proposed child safety features that have been fired both within and outside the company. It announced in August that it is searching for images of child sex abuse on Apple phones and computers. The move, however, elicited a global response from a variety of human rights organisations, with employees also criticising the plan. Apple responded that it would allow security researchers to verify their claims, but the company stated on September 3 that system changes would take time.

MediaTek still a global leader

In the second quarter of 2021, MediaTek remained the global leader in the application processor market. Telegram

Telegram, the popular instant messaging service created in the aftermath of Whatsapp’s privacy policy controversy, has now been downloaded over a billion times worldwide. According to Sensor Tower, India accounts for nearly 22% of app installations, followed by Russia and Indonesia, which account for 10% and 8% of total installations, respectively. “The app’s installs increased by 61 percent year on year, from 133 million in H1 2020 to 214.7 million by 2021,” he added. Telegram will start generating revenue next year,” said Pavel Durov, the company’s founder. “We will be able to introduce a plethora of new features and welcome billions of new users.”

Twitter has added a ‘Super Follows’ feature to allow designers to generate monthly revenue by sharing content with only subscribers. The move comes as Twitter strives to be a favourite online destination for clickable celebrities while increasing its revenue in ways that, according to the news agency AFP, do not confuse the platform with advertisements or promotions. The company stated that the feature would be available to iOS users worldwide within the next few weeks. Users of iOS in the United States and Canada will be able to super follow a specific group of people in the United States.
