What happened to Christopher Dansby and Shane Walker from Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries?

Netflix’s popular documentary series Unsolved Mysteries talks about the disappearances of Christopher Dansby and Shane Walker in an episode titled Stolen Kids of Season 2. In 1989, two kids went missing while playing at a Martin Luther King Jr Towers playground. Both incidents occurred a few months apart from each other in Harlem, New York.

The entire incident has been explained through a series of interviews of these two mothers. Even the witnesses and police’s testimonies have been presented on the day, each kid’s disappearance. The two years old Christopher vanished that year in May while his mother Allison left him under his grandmother’s watch. After she returned from the shop, he was nowhere to be found.

After three months, a 19 months old Shane Walker went missing while playing in the same park. His mum Rosa Glover was with him when she was approached by two kids who persisted to play with Shane. In the end, she allowed them. Later on, a man sat beside her on the bench and started talking about things that can happen to kids and other crimes. She also recalled that the man had scars, and she turned towards him to look at his scars, and as she turned back, she did not see her son in the playground.

She searched the entire park and still couldn’t find him. Then she saw two children re-entering the playground, so she went to them and asked about her son. They said that they left him in the play area. After the incident, both the kids along with their parents and that man with scars were questioned by the cops, but they did not find anything suspicious.

Deputy Chief Ronald J Fenrich also liked other kid’s abductions, but it had two different suspects. So it turns out to be true, then Shane and Christopher might have been grown up with other families without being aware of their true identities. The show also talks about other theories, which include the actions of serial killers, abducted by pedophiles, but they have no clear proof.

After a while, Shane’s mother had received a call telling her that her son’s body was buried in a building, but the cops did not find any child’s body and declared these rumors to be fake. Besides, both families of the abducted kids were never contacted for money to get their kids back.
