The Sitution During Pandemic

When the situation around the world was at its worstas the pandemic was on its peak, Netflix and Peloton both saw an increase in the demand for the services they provide. The number of subscribers for Netflix went up and the figure of fitness products sold by Peloton grew, all because people were home all the time and were either looking for things to watch or using the time to get back into shape. So, during the pandemic’s peak, both Netflix and Peloton were prospering.

The Sitution After Pandemic

Yes, COVID 19 is not gone yet. The severity and deadliness of the disease though has come down considerably. Owing to this fact, people have started to come out of their homes and get back to school, college, work, travel, etc. No one now has the time to watch Netflix all day nor work out. The sales of Netflix and Peloton thus have started to dive down. Numbers give the proof of these dives as Netflix shares dived down by 21% and that of Peloton dived down by 24%. Netflix has suffered less as compared to Peloton because no matter what there is always time for an hour’s worth of TV but not always for workout. What is more problematic for Peloton is that they are not getting new customers for their products since the hold of the pandemic has eased.

The present situation of Netflix and Peloton is the classic example of the fact that nothing is permanent in the world, be it good or bad.
