Congratulations are in order as The Only Way Is Essex’s Lauren Goodger has welcomed a baby girl to the world. Lauren has become a mum for the first time and this experience for her is just as magical as it would have been for any new mother. The star gave birth to a baby girl with boyfriend Charles Drury.
Lauren, 34, has been sharing her experience via Instagram posts, taking her fans on the journey of this new experience of her life. The former TOWIE star and her builder boyfriend Charles, 23, announced that they were expecting a child via Lauren’s Instagram in January and the heart-hugging news of the baby’s arrival was confirmed by OK! Magazine on 20th July. The Only Way Is Essex is a reality show and the representative told the publication, “Mother and baby are doing really well. Lauren and her partner Charlie are really looking forward to spending some quality time with their new arrival.” This explains why the couple haven’t revealed the name of the newborn baby or posted any images to their social media accounts.
Lauren previously revealed that her amateur boyfriend didn’t believe her when she told him that they were expecting a baby. She said: “We went and bought a test from a bargain shop and I did it – I couldn’t believe it! I rang him and he was like: ‘You’re lying, you’re joking.’
“He didn’t believe the test! I did a digital one as well and he walked around with it in his bag for about three days.”
When the news of the newborn was first shared on Instagram, Charles was seen to be very excited about it and commented: “Finally we don’t have to keep it quiet anymore, I’m at work buzzing today. I love you both.” The couple went public about their relationship in October, 2020.
A picture was shared by Lauren recently on her Instagram handle while holding the baby’s tiny hand and the caption read: “Welcome to the world our baby girl has arrived… Mummy and Daddy are so in love with you,” followed by a heart emoji.
Lauren Goodger previously told New Magazine that she was planning to have a natural home birth. She explained this by saying, “I think being at home I haven’t got to pack a bag and haven’t got to drive anywhere and I’m much better being at home and without people around me.” She continued, “Birth is so about the mind and connecting to the body. I’m low risk, I haven’t got high blood pressure and the baby is perfect and a good size. She’s strong and in a good position.”
The reality star has also admitted being told by a psychic that she would give birth in July – and very quickly fall pregnant again. She said, “I got told I’m having this baby in July, and then in December I’m going to be pregnant again with a boy.”
