Tom Hanks and Marvel’s Scarlett Johansson appear in a new all-star film

Scarlett Johansson has joined Wes Anderson’s next project, which is now filming in Spain. Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody, and Jason Schwartzman are among the Anderson favorites in the ensemble. The actress from Black Widow joins Tom Hanks and Margot Robbie as big-name guests. Homeland’s Rupert Friend will also make an appearance.

Nothing is known about the auteur’s latest project save for a few crucial cast members. Wes Anderson’s works, such as The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Darjeeling Limited, and Fantastic Mr Fox, are recognized for their unusual symmetry.

While this isn’t Johansson’s first collaboration with Anderson, it is her first appearance in the Anderson style. She previously starred as Nutmeg in Wes Anderson’s animated feature Isle of Dogs, which was released in 2018.

Filming on the untitled new movie is anticipated to finish in late September, just in time for the October premiere of The French Dispatch. The upcoming comedy-drama stars Benicio del Toro (Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Timothée Chalamet (Little Women, Call Me By Your Name), Saoirse Ronan (Little Women, Lady Bird), and Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale, Mad Men).

Anderson is known for using the same performers in each of his films. Bill Murray appears in ten of Anderson’s eleven films (including this latest unnamed movie), Jason Schwartzman in eight, Owen Wilson in eight, and Tilda Swinton in five. Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, and Bob Balaban are among his recent favorites. The French Dispatch, directed by Wes Anderson, will be released in theatres in the United States and the United Kingdom on October 22.
