The Irish horse racing events that await the fans in December 2021

The big galloping racecourse is known for fun and thrilling events, home to some of the events that excite crowds, especially during the winter and spring months.

Again on Saturday the 18th same month, the racecourse will have two events: namely the Future Champions Bumper Listed and Tara Handicap Hurdle Grade B. The Champions Bumper is considered the biggest national hunt race where punters flock, not just to watch but also back their favorite horses. This is a race that many consider a good source for future winners, trackers as well as high class. Tara handicap Hurdle has been a Grade 2 national hunt race until its downgrade a decade ago. It covers a distance of two miles. The December race’s current winner is Jukebox Jive, a horse whose jockey is Connor Mc Namara and the trainer is Gavin Cromwell.

December 5, 2021, all horse racing fans will be trooping at Cork for Kerry Group Cork Stayers race, Kerry Group Hilly Way Chase Grade 2, and Lombardstown EBF Mares Chase Grade 3. Cork Race tracks can be found in the town of Mallow along Killarney Road. The racecourse which is known to be busy throughout the year can be summed up as a fine galloping course right at the banks of River Blackwater.

It is a track that hosts several top-notch National Hunts as well as flat races. Apart from the Kerry Group and Lombardstown events that are scheduled in December every year, the venue also hosts the Cork Grand National Handicap and Grade 2 Hilly races. Apart from the December races, other highlights of the year are the Easter festivals.

On the same day as the Cork racing events, Punchestown will be hosting two main events namely the John Dukan Men Chase Grade 1 NS Voler La Vedette Mares Novice Hurdle Listed. Punchestown is known for the national hunts racing events that it holds throughout the year. In April the venue hosts the five-day national hunt races. Other events that happen in this venue include the Grade 1 Morgiana Hurdle which takes place in November. The same venue will also be hosting an unnamed event on the last day of December.

Leopardstown race track holiday events

Leopardstown race track will be hosting the most events this December. The Christmas season, starting on 26th December will see the racecourse host several races every day. On December, 26th the venue will be home to Knight Frank Juv Hurdle Grade 2 and Racing Post Chase Grade 1. On Monday the 27th, Paddy Power Dial a bet, Future Champions Grade 1 and Handicap Chase grade B will be the main events at the only racecourse all over Dublin. Leopardstown is known for hosting the biggest races including the flat, hurdles as well as races in the fence. The venue is busiest in December while other months also see several major events happening here.

December 28th will see the venue hosting the Christmas hurdle grade one and Savillas Christmas Chase Grade one. Wednesday, the 29, the venue will have three races including the EBF Mares Hurdle Grade 3, Fort Leney Chase Grade 1, and Matheson December Hurdle Grade 1. With all these events, Leopardstown will be the place to be for horse racing fans that are looking for Christmas treat. For the betting fans, the holiday season will offer a chance to place as many bets as possible. With Leopardstown, there will be no holiday for the betting fans, only some good chance for winning.

Other races which will be held over the Christmas holiday include Limerick Greenmount Park Chase Grade 1, the Doran Pride Hurdle Grade 2, Tim Duggan Mem Handicap Chase Grade 1, and Sporting Limerick Hurdle Grade 3, all to be held at Limerick.
