The Flash is expected to have a mini crossover with other DC characters.

Javicia Leslie (Batwoman) and Chyler Leigh (as Sentinel / Alex Danvers) (Supergirl) will both make cameo appearances, as will Cress Williams (Black Lightning) and Brandon Routh (aka The Atom) (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) who will both make cameo appearances.

In addition to Cavanagh, who will reprise his role as the Reverse Flash, Neal McDonough will reprise his role as Damien Darhk, with Kat McNamara reprising her role as Mia Smoak and Osric Chau portraying Ryan Choi.

The official synopsis is as follows

“When a formidable extraterrestrial menace emerges on Earth under strange circumstances, Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton), and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to rescue the world,” says the official synopsis.

Flash and his allies will need to recruit the assistance of some old friends if they are to defeat the forces of evil, but time is running out and the fate of humanity is at risk.”

Additionally, Producer Eric Wallace has promised “some truly epic scenes and major surprises” that will make these episodes of The Flash the most significant episodes of the show’s history.

DC Comics’ canon states that the ‘Armageddon’ event took place across numerous series in 1991, during which several heroes and villains joined forces from different periods of time to confront the despot Monarch of the Universe. There is no way of knowing whether or not the TV version will follow this same plotline at this time.

Other than “Armageddon,” Stargirl executive producer Geoff Johns has teased a planned crossover with The Flash this season, in which John Wesley Shipp would appear as the Golden Age Flash, which will air later this season on the newer series.
