Comparing the filming schedules of prior seasons with their actual air dates, we can have a very good idea of when they’ll be released. Three months have passed since The Boys Season 1 began shooting in May 2018. It will premiere in July 2019 after nine months of production. On the other hand, The Boys Season 2 will air on Amazon Prime in September 2020, 10 months after the first season. Depending on how well everything goes, it’s possible that The Boys Season 3 may be published between late 2021 and early 2022.

The Boys Season 3 – What we know about appearing characters & cast members

Despite the lack of formal confirmation, we can make an informed assumption based on the Season 2 finale. Hughie (Jack Quaid), Butcher and Hughie (Karl Urban), Frenchie (Tomer Capon), Mother’s Milk Laz Alonso, and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) should be back and have been spotted during production. A-Train (Jesser), The Deep (Chace Crawford), and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) will surely be back for more action.

Among them are the Crimson Countesses (Laurie Holden), Miles Gaston Villanueva as Supersonic, Nick Weschler as Blue Hawk, and Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy (Sean Patrick Flannery).

Stan Edgar, the CEO of Vought, is sure to make a few appearances (Giancarlo Esposito). In Season 3, Claudia Doumit’s Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) will play a crucial part in the plot. However, we do know that Stormfront (Aya Cash) is alive.

Six new characters have already been revealed for the third season. Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, is the character that fans are most excited to meet. Originally a parody of Captain America, Soldier Boy’s past is shrouded in obscurity. When he was given Compound V in 1944, he was able to murder German troops in a manner that Steve Rogers would not have approved of. His route intersected with Lady Liberty’s at one point (later revealed to be Stormfront). To clear Vought’s name, he will be brought back into action.

Laurie Holden will portray the Scarlet Witch, the Crimson Countess, in “The Boys.” According to reports, Crimson Countess is betrothed to the Mind-Droid, a Vision-like creature, exactly like her Marvel counterpart. A probable replacement for The Seven after Translucent’s death was indicated by him as a possibility.

“Payback” member and Starlight’s ex-boyfriend Miles Gaston Villanueva is scheduled to portray Supersonic. Starlight and Hughie’s romance is likely to be sabotaged by this individual, who is yet to be revealed.

Payback’s Supes squad member Blue Hawk will be played by Wechsler. The identity of his character has likewise been kept secret. Sean Patrick Flanery portrays Gunpowder, a former member of Soldier Boy’s superhero team. Like Deadshot from DC Comics, Sein has a surname that implies he may be a gun enthusiast.

A formidable Russian crime leader named Little Nina will be played by actress Katia Winter. Vought helped her produce dozens more Supes using a less potent version of Compound V, but her Supes didn’t make it. As a result of her height and obsession with female sex toys, she was given the nickname “Shorty.”

How many episodes can we expect for The Boys Season 3?

In The Boys Season 3, the same formula will be followed as in previous seasons. There will be a total of eight episodes, about which not much is known. However, we do have a few clues as to what will happen next in the tale. “Payback” is the title of the first episode. As far back as October 2020, Kripke confirmed it on his own Twitter account.

As a tease and an allusion to a group from The Boys comics, Soldier Boy and Stormfront are included. The episode’s title is “Herogasm.” There is a good chance that it will push the limits of what can be broadcast on television. Kripke said in a recent tweet that people have been challenging him to modify it from the very beginning of the project.

In canon, “Herogasm” takes place between issues #30 and #31 of The Boys’ main narrative. The premise of the spinoff revolves around the heroes entering Vought’s yearly “party” for their favourite and most successful Supes. As you may have guessed, there will be illicit drugs and filthy sex acts during the party. The superheroes will use their special abilities in interesting and unthinkable ways. See how far they’ll go with this R-rated episode!
