Tesla to start selling its cars in India during ‘early’ next year

Nitin Gadkari Union Minister for Real Transport and Highways of India said that Tesla will start selling its electric cars in India. According to Gadkari, these cars will be on road in Q1 2021. 

Previously on Yesterday, Elon Musk Tesla’s boss was exchanging tweets and confirming things regarding there launch in India on different social media websites. According to his tweets, the company’s plans looks clear to become a reality next year in India. 

Nitin Gadkari added that although Tesla will start selling their cars in India from 2021, but depending upon the response from the buyers and people company will decide whether to set up assembly and manufacturing line in India or not. 

After confirming the plan to launch Tesla in India, all fans of the electric vehicle manufacturer eagerly waiting for this to come to India. But according to Elon Musk, this could have been done earlier if there would be no criteria to use 30% locally sourced material. This is the only thing delaying the plans to run Tesla on Indian roads for so long.

However, Tesla operates a factory in Shanghai, China after being stayed away from India for so long. The installation set up works as an assembly line for Tesla’s previous model. This model named as the Model 3 along with plans for Model Y in place. 

Elon Musk’s car manufacturing company Tesla is now named as one of the leading car manufacturers in the world and globally famous for its electric car designs. The company now stands with a remarkable $659 billion market capitalization.

This capitalisation is quite high and undoubtedly a way ahead of Toyota’s $215 billion market capitalisation. It’s truly appreciating as a company with total revenue of $7.38 billion in Q4 2019 reached such a great mark of $659 billion in just one year. 

This clearly means Elon Musk’s firm got an astronomical pace growth even in such a pandemic scenario.
