Tales of Arise is an upcoming video game in the tales series. The game is being developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game was originally planned to release in 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but was delayed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the recent interview with Japan’s Weekly Famitsu, Yusuke Tomizawa stated that the game is “starting to wrap up”. He also assured that this game will please the fans from Japan and others all around the world alike. This indeed is a huge aim to shoot for, but if they succeed, then it would be a great victory.
He also admitted that the game developing industry has not yet received the full impact of the effects of this global pandemic. He said that we need to wait further to check how the games get sold to fully understand the blow.
He stated that it has been a great learning opportunity for the team because they were forced to work under various restrictions which have never been there before. At the end of the day, necessity is the mother of all inventions.

For those who are not aware of this series, it first debuted in 1995 with the “Tales of Phantasia” and it has had many new additions such as “Tales of Eternia”, “Tales of Symphonia”, “Tales of Rebirth”, etc. This is just the main series. It also has multiple spin-offs such as Destiny 2, Xillia 2 and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.
