Strictly Come Dancing viewers demand a change to the Sunday results show

Strictly Come Dancing, as one of the most anticipated shows on the television schedule, couldn’t go wrong, can it? The more Strictly Come Dancing there is, the better, especially with two episodes on the weekend and catch-up shows on a busy weekday.

However, for some viewers, the Sunday evening results show has become a cause of irritation, and some have urged for its elimination in its entirety.

To provide some background information for those unfamiliar with the show, once the Saturday night show has concluded, the cameras continue to roll and catch the dance-offs and judges’ votes, with the complete event showing ‘as live’ on Sunday afternoons after the show has concluded.

Despite the fact that this has been the case for many years, the results are periodically leaked before to the results broadcast, thereby spoiling the event for everyone, as was the case this week.

Because the first elimination of the season had already been disclosed, viewers asked that the show make big modifications as a result of the leak. The first elimination of the season saw ex-EastEnders actress Nina Wadia and her partner Neil Jones leave after a very difficult dance-off, but because the elimination had previously been leaked, viewers requested that the programme make significant changes to the way it was being presented to them.

On Twitter, one of our viewers sent the following message

“The sleazy Sunday programme should be scrapped, and they should make it appear as though everyone is taken by surprise when someone is sent home from the show. As a result, we all know what to expect on a Saturday night because the show is released every Saturday night. However, I understand what you’re talking about and will refrain from further comment.”

Another person expressed themselves like follows: “I’m baffled as to why the #bbc does this year after year.

You’re saying that the results show will be shot on Sunday, aren’t you?

We are all aware that the show will be taped on Saturday night, so changing clothes and relocating Gordon to a different seat will not fool us into believing we are being deceived!”

There was a third addition, which went as follows: “They should just avoid performing on Sunday nights and instead put on a longer live concert on Saturday instead…half of the time, some idiot on the internet will spoil it all for everyone! #STRICTLY.”
