Report – The Fight Over Catty Cast Leads To Production Of A New ‘Sex And The City Remake’ But Without Samantha

In late spring, but with one very notable exception, the HBO revival of Sex and the City is due to enter production. One of the four main characters will not appear in the upcoming season, titled And Just Like That and executive produced by Michael Patrick King.

The new story would not have Samantha Jones, who played Kim Cattrall in the original series and the two SATC films.

One fan said Samantha wouldn’t come back because Kim didn’t like Sarah, but she refuted the feud.

“No, I don’t dislike her. I’ve never said that. Never would. Samantha isn’t part of this story. But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do. X”

And another follower acknowledged that Kim and her character will be missing, as Sarah promised to do.

She Said: “We will too, we loved her so.”We will, too. We loved her so much.

The real-life divide is not limited to Parker and Cattrall, and other cast members talk volumes in less noticeable snubs. Kristin Davis, 55, who plays Charlotte, shared a nostalgic shot from the 2004 Emmy Awards on Instagram two years ago. Parker and Cynthia Nixon (who plays Miranda) posing next to two Emmy statuettes-won for their roles by Parker and Nixon. The snap reveals herself in which Cattrall was missing.

“Super happy memories and wishing joy to everyone tonight,” Kristin captioned the post on Instagram. “We are all so incredibly lucky to get to do what we do!”

“No one talked to Kim except for when [Parker] won her award and kissed her,” a source said of the 2004 Emmy award evening. “That kiss was staged.”

Three years earlier, when she insisted she was not “friends” with any of her ‘Sex and the City’ co-stars, including Kristin and Cynthia, Kim first openly talked of her feud with Sarah Jessica.

“We’ve never been friends,” she told Piers Morgan in an interview in 2017. “We’ve been colleagues, and in some ways, it’s a very healthy place to be, because then you have a clear line between your professional life and relationship and you’re personal.”

In 2017, Page Six Media also revealed that before Cattrall scuttled it, a third film was on the verge of being made.

“People were expecting to go to work,” said a source. “It’s true. They were supposed to start shooting [on Tuesday]. Kim was negotiating and was asking for things the studio wouldn’t go for, so they pulled the plug.”

“The only “DEMAND” I ever made was that I didn’t want to make a third film… and that was back in 2016,” Cattrall disputes this but tweeted at the time.

Kim also blasted Sarah Jessica after the death of her brother, Chris Cattrall, who died in February 2018, for reaching out to her.

“My Mum asked me today, ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’” Cattrall wrote in an Instagram caption. A painful reminder of how to mean you really were then and now is your persistent reaching out. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already). You are not a family of mine. You’re not a mate of mine. So one last time, I’m writing to tell you to stop using our catastrophe to regain your ‘sweet girl’ persona.

However, the resentment goes to more than a few years. Oh. But. In 2009, The Post’s Cindy Adams confirmed that there was no friendly socializing off-screen during the two months of shooting during the filming of Sex and the City 2 in Morocco. They also lived in luxurious hotels that were separate.
