Power Book III Raising Kanan gets first teaser trailer

Let’s go back in time when 50 Cent/Curtis Jackson was just 17 pence. The teaser of Power Book III: Raising Kanan just got released, which will take you back to when the rapper was just a teenage kid. It is based on Kanan’s childhood in the 1990s where he was neither a murderer nor a drug dealer.

The trailer also features a new cast and photos with some excellent retro fashion. And guess what? 50 cent is narrating the story.

The story of Power’s Tariq St. Patrick is still being told on Sundays, but Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent’s eyes are all set on his character. Power TV series fans already know Kanan as a ruthless killer and a no-nonsense drug dealer and killer. Now, viewers will get to see what made him that way and how he grew up in Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

The teaser trailer got released on Saturday, which also revealed the air date of the series. The Power Book III: Raising Kanan is scheduled to launch in Summer 2021. Moreover, it will be set in the Southside Jamaica Queens neighborhood of New York.

The teaser also featured actors like Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’s Mekai Curtis as a teen Kanan, actor and dancer London Brown, Mr. Robot’s Joey Bada$$, House’s Omar Epps, and many others in the series. According to the sources, fans might some more new faces in the series.

 What does 50 Cent have to say about Kanan’s character?

50 Cent shared that fans already know how things ended for Kanan, and now, they will get to know how things started. The new series is all about Kanan. It is a story about Southside, Jamaica Queens.

Power series ended with its sixth season, but the show creators created four spin-offs that focus on different characters and separate locations. Power Book IV: Force and Power Book V: Influence will focus on Tommy in Los Angeles and Tate’s struggle to get to the top in the world of politics, respectively.

Moreover, Power Book II: Ghost is set on the younger version of the main show’s lead character. The first season is still airing on Starz Network. Some sources disclosed that the series got renewed for a second run.
