Everything you need to know about Hulu series Olga Dies Dreaming

Books are adapted into TV shows on a daily basis, but it is uncommon for a book to be adapted into a TV show before it is published. This is not the case in “Olga Dies Dreaming.” This new Hulu drama is based on the novel of the same name by Xochitl Gonzalez. The story revolves around Olga, a Nuyorican wedding planner in New York City.

This is Gonzalez’s first piece, and it is also one of his most personal. According to her author website, she worked as an entrepreneur and consultant in New York City for 15 years before earning an MFA in creative writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Those encounters undoubtedly influenced Olga, a character caught between two worlds. This show appears to be a must-see for anyone interested in Latinx identity in the United States in 2021.

Release date of Olga Dies Dreaming?

“Olga Dies Dreaming” is still not available on Hulu. As previously stated, the book on which it will be based will not be released until early 2022. According to sources, Hulu will approve the series for the first time on April 29, 2021. This is the first major casting announcement for “Olga Dies Dreaming,” so filming will most likely take some time.

Another upcoming Hulu series based on a book is “Nine Perfect Strangers,” which is based on Liane Moriarty’s 2018 novel of the same name. The production of “Nine Perfect Strangers” wrapped in December 2020, and the show will premiere on August 18, 2021.

Given that timeline, and the fact that “Olga Dies Dreaming” has yet to begin filming, the series could premiere as early as August 2022, assuming regular production, COVID-19, and so on go as planned. However, once production begins, we should have a better idea of when the movie will be released.

Who is in the cast of Olga Dies Dreaming

So far, Aubrey Plaza is the only confirmed cast member. Plaza will play the title character, Olga. Olga’s obsession with perfection has become a survival mechanism for her as she attempts to move on from her past. Olga is caught between two worlds as a result of her upbringing in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood.
