Zen Cannon, Nick Cannon’s 5-Month-Old Son, Has Passed Away Due To Brain Cancer

Nick Cannon youngest child died on Sunday following a long battle with cancer, it was confirmed on Tuesday.

During Tuesday’s episode of “The Nick Cannon Show,” the 41-year-old host sobbed as he announced the death of his 5-month-old son Zen, dedicating the show to his “beautiful son Zen.” Cannon has a friend named Alyssa Scott.

Cannon’s youngest kid died over the weekend from hydrocephalus, a malignant, invasive midline brain tumor, which he defined as “brain cancer,” according to the New York Daily News. “It’s a difficult task.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, hydrocephalus is “the accumulation of fluid in the cavities (ventricles) deep within the brain.” The increased pressure on the brain causes “damage to brain tissues and a variety of cognitive function deficits.”

Initially He Had Breathing Problems

Cannon initially blamed the infant’s breathing problems on the infant’s sinuses when the child was just 2 months old. When doctors discovered that fluid was accumulating inside Zen’s skull, they realized they were dealing with a cancerous brain tumor.

Zen’s situation changed around Thanksgiving, according to Cannon, after many surgery and procedures, and the baby’s tumor began to grow quicker. Despite the fact that his kid died on Sunday, the actor spoke about their time together watching the sunrise that day.

‘This weekend, I made an effort to spend as much quality time with Zen as possible,’ Cannon admitted. “I held my son for the final time in a beautiful setting.”

On Wednesday’s episode, one of Cannon’s final images of his son was presented. Zen’s mother is carrying him in her arms while he snaps the “picture of the day” photo on the beach.

Cannon claims that “On Sundays, I normally take care of things with my family before returning to New York to be here” for the show.

I was compelled to turn around by the time I got in the car and was on my way to the airport.” In addition to watching the sunrise, he stated, “not only did we get an opportunity to view the sunset.”

Zen, Cannon’s son with Alyssa Scott, is Cannon’s youngest child. Moroccan and Monroe, his 10-year-old twins from his marriage to Mariah Carey, are not his only children.

When asked by the audience, Cannon answered, “I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle today, but I really, really wanted to mourn alongside my family.” I’m here today because I prayed for a supernatural miracle from God.
