Jennifer Lawrence goes Old School on the other hand Cara suits up at the Paris fashion week

While we’ve been glued to our screens to see the best of what the couture brands have to offer, it’s the front row that has us hooked. Dior debuted their Haute Couture Autumn-Winter 2021-2022 Collection today at Paris Fashion Week, with actress Jennifer Lawrence and British model Cara Delevingne leading the way.

Jennifer has chosen the French luxury company to channel old school vibes. The white design with mini polka dots all over was straightforward.

The dress, which had a monogrammed golden humpback belt, was then torn at the waist, and the rest of the A-line silhouette was flavoured. She completed her look with a pair of black sun lenses and pointed black pumps. Her look was completed by blonde cascade locks.

Cara, on the other hand, was dressed for the occasion in a Marine blue pantsuit. She ditched her coat in favour of a jacket layered with another jacket made from the same tissue. She wore a pair of baggy flared pants with a pair of naked pointy pumps for the evening. Her hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail, and she was wearing only neutral make-up.

Jennifer Lawrence from her earlier days

Lawrence knew she wanted to be a young actress and began performing in school plays and local theatres in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2005, at the age of 14, she travelled to New York City with her mother to visit talent agencies in the hopes of breaking into acting and modelling.

A talented scout had discovered her and audited her for his agency. During the summer of this year, she was in New York, playing minor roles and modelling for commercials. Following Lawrence’s early high school graduation, the family relocated to Los Angeles to allow her to continue her career.

Lawrence appeared as the teenage daughter of a cable comedy Psychotherapist in the Bill Engvall Show from 2007 to 2009. Soon after, she was followed by the role that would be her break, the lead in Winter’s Bone (2010). Lawrence won Best Actress at the age of 20 for her portrayal of Ree, a poor rural teen searching for her missing, criminal father in the Ozark Mountains. She won her first Academy Award.
