Euphoria season 2: what we know so far about it

Even though there’s no official release date for Euphoria season 2, production began in 2021, so you won’t have to wait long to see it.

As a result of Covid-19, the much-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s breakout first season and the more recent specials from late 2020 and early 2021 will finally take place. When Euphoria’s first season aired in June of 2019, it was such a huge hit that it was renewed for a second season before the first ended.

First season nominations included BAFTA and TCA awards and an Emmy for lead actress Zendaya for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Zendaya starred in the first season, which focused on Rue (Zendaya), a high school student recovering from drug addiction. Together with her classmates, they dealt with sex, drugs, love, catfishing, and a Season 2 will undoubtedly be even more intense.

Either in late 2021 or early 2022, we can expect the second season of Euphoria.  Minka Kelly, Dominic Fike, and Demetrius, ‘Lil Meech’ Flenory Jr., will join the cast of Euphoria in the second season, possibly in recurring roles.

Watch Euphoria on HBO and the HBO Max app in the United States. Sky Atlantic and NOW will broadcast it in the United Kingdom.

Second season storyline elements are being kept under wraps, but the cast has given us some tantalising hints about their characters.

In an Entertainment Weekly interview, Hunter Schafer disclosed that she wants Jules to focus more on herself next season, but it’s sure to cause some problems. I want to see Jules continue to work on herself since she still has some serious difficulties to go through. As far as I can tell, she learns that since we have a loving parent/sister relationship, I believe she may experience what she needs to without being messy or cluttered. Who knows how it will turn out? That’s what I hope for her. Unfortunately, this is going to be more chaotic than I’d expected for her.”

Gia, Rue’s younger sister, is also expected to play a larger part this season. So I think you’ll see more of Gia in the second season,” Storm Reid told Entertainment Weekly in an interview. “[Gia’s] personality changes,” Reid said in an interview with Yahoo. Because of this, she develops a unique personality and a unique storyline. Not to give too much away, but she will have a bigger role in season 2.

According to Sydney Sweeney, a “crazy” narrative will be in store for Cassie in the second season. How does that work? The actress hinted at it to Stylecaster. “When you ask me about season 2, my heart sinks. I’ll own it. In a way, that makes you wonder what you’re going to watch. Cassie has a lot to catch up to. There’s nothing else I can say. Cassie’s plotline in season 2 is completely unexpected. When I read a new episode by Sam, my jaw drops to the floor, and I can’t believe this is coming from someone’s imagination.”
