About Dwayne Hickman Career

Hickman Was born on 18th May 1934 in Los Angeles, USA. He went to the Cathedral High School till 1952 and then graduated from the Loyola Marymount University. Till then he had done some little acting in one or two TV shows but then after his graduation he became a full-time actor on the TV show ‘The Bob Cummings Show’. He played the part of Chuck McDonald.

He really became popular when he started appearing in the teen TV show of 1959 named ‘The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis’. The show was about a high school student named Dobie who wanted to be rich, popular and attractive in his life. Throughout the show he thrives to meet these goals and always keeps an eye on the beautiful Tuesday Weld.

Hickman, after his acting career he became a CBS executive in the year 1970. Under his reign the shows like ‘Maude’, ‘Sister, sister’ and ‘Designing Woman’ were made. He got married in the year 1983 with Joan Robert. The two met on the sets of the show ‘Private Benjamin’. Before this Hickman had two unsuccessful marriages as well. Even though he never acted in movies his performance on TV was good enough that people will remember him for many years to come.

Many consider his lead role of Dobie as his magnus opus. Hickman died on 9th of January 2022 because of Parkinson’s disease in Los Angeles, USA. He is survived by his wife and 2 kids.
