Along with the two seasons of The Witcher and the animated spin-off Nightmare of the Wolf, Netflix is developing a third spin-off ” The Witcher Blood Origin ” that will go further into the history of Geralt of Rivia’s universe.
At the period of the Conjunction of the Spheres, this new live-action series explores the genesis narrative of the first Witcher. This is all we know about The Witcher: Blood Origins thus far.
Release Date details on The Witcher Origin
Despite the fact that Netflix announced Blood Origins in the summer of 2020, we won’t see it until 2022! Unfortunately, we still don’t know when.
The extended wait may be due to the problematic production of Season 2 of The Witcher, which was hampered by the epidemic and subsequently injuries to star Henry Cavill.

What does the story focus on?
As we mentioned at the outset! This new initiative chronicles the origins of the Witchers, with the focus on the first to wield silver and steel swords; Netflix’s official blurb reads as follows:
The game is set in an elf globe 1200 years before the events that led to the creation of the Witcher universe; Blood Genesis tells the origin of the first Witcher and the events leading up to the pivotal ‘conjunction of the spheres’.
Unexpectedly! The first teaser focuses a specific group of elf joining together while they travel and fend off adversaries.
With a few photographs published on Twitter, Netflix has revealed more of the planet and its mythology.
Time being, all we know about the action would be speeded over six episodes making it for two shorter episodes than Witcher’s first season!
