Death in Paradise star says watching his death back was “weird and Disturbing”

Death in Paradise is an English crime show following the life of a detective inspector who is transferred from London and the island of Saint-Marie in the Caribbean. The show has so far got nine seasons and has been a huge hit. You can watch the trailer of the show here-

As the name suggests, there are quite a lot of deaths in the show. Longtime actor Ben Miller shared his near traumatic experience of faking his death for the show with the Guardian. Lets see what he shared!

What was the nature of his death?

Like most of the deaths in the show, his character’s end was gruesome as well. He was stabbed in the chest with an ice prick to death and he was left in the cold to die.

“I was stabbed in the chest with an ice pick in a brutal murder at the start of season three,” the actor told The Guardian, admittedly affected by the whole thing. “Leaving a show is always emotional, and then you have to hang around the set like a ghost while people avoid catching your eye.”

It must be a tough thing to go through but we can expect him to make a return in the show!

What is it like to see the show on TV?

He layered revealed that actually acting out his death is not as horrible as seeing him die on the show. He says that watching himself turn pale and gray is an image that he would never be able to get out of his brain and the whole experience was “weird and disturbing”.
