COX FORTNITE TOURNAMENT HELPS TO RAISE $42000 FOR CHARITY TO CURE RARE DISEASE WITH ELITE

 THE TOURNAMENT  

The game that helped in such a noble cause was Fortnite. The tournament was organized by Cox Communications, a leading telecom company. 

The tournament was named as Elite Gamer Holiday Charity Tournament. Pro and causal players participated in the tournament. The tournament consisted of players playing in teams for titles like winning the entire tournament, most elimination by a team, best placement, longest team alive and most points earned in a single game by a team. 

The top 5 teams were awarded with $5000, an Rt Ax82U, Scope Keyboard, Gladius II Core Mouse, and a Sheath BLK Mousepad. A total of 5000 players participated in the tournament which included star players like Stretch, Illest, Arab and Sayt. 

THE CHARITY

The charity for which the $42K was raised is named Cure Rare Diseases (CRD) which is a biotechnology company. 

The founder and president of CRD, Rich Horgan thanked the organizers Cox Communications for organizing the tournament. He also thanked all the players who actively participated in the tournament. He added that the event showed that they made the right choice in choosing the game that they wanted to spread awareness through about rare diseases. 

He concluded by saying that the company was overwhelmed and would definitely be part of future events like these.
