After Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, NCB is questioning many celebrities to unravel a network of supply of drugs to them. Popular actors like Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakulpreet Singh, and Sara Ali Khan have been interrogated as well. The NCB’s quest to find the drug dealers continues.
Recently comedian Bharti Singh got arrested after interrogation by Narcotics Control Bureau in Mumbai. She along with her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were questioned. Later on, both of them were taken to the NCB’s Mumbai office for further interrogation. Bystanders outside their apartment complex in Andheri saw Ms. Singh being taken away in a red Mercedes, whereas Mr. Harsh Limbachiyaa was driven in a white NCB vehicle. When Bharti Singh arrived at the NCB office, she told the reporters that they are being called for some questioning.
Later on, one of the investigating officials, Sameer Wankhede told the news sources that Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa have been detained for interrogation about possession of narcotics substances. According to the research, Bharti Singh’s name emerged when a drug peddler got interrogated. Then a search team was sent to their house to find drugs. Later on, the team recovered a small quantity of cannabis. Furthermore, the official stated that they carried out their quest for drugs at the other two locations in Mumbai.
This month, even Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades were called for questioning. Moreover, his home was searched too for any kind of drug possession. These raids started after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in June. It was reported that many known faces of the entertainment industry are using drugs.
The drug angle came forward after the agency found some texts about the purchase of banned drugs on Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s phone. Later on, the actress and her brother Showik were arrested for arranging drugs. Even some of his employees got arrested as well. Ms. Chakraborty was released on bail after almost a month in prison.
