The brand new film named Avatar: The Way of Water by James Cameron broke all the records and scored the 3rd highest new year’s day of all time. It has smashed the record of the biggest post-pandemic film named Spider-Man: No Way Home and earned a sum of $444.41 million, which is really commendable!
Records Avatar Trending On Box Office
If we check out the initial 5 days’ record of the film, then we get to know that this movie didn’t perform as per expectations. From five days, the film witnessed a collection of 18 crores which is a 60% drop from the collection of the initial three days which was 100 crores. In the initial three days of release, the movie break the record and crossed over 100 crores, but on the fifth day, it falls drastically.
Because of this dangerous fall, everyone thinks that the movie will not reach its mark but the new year has literally shocked the creators of Avatar 2. It broke the record of Spider-Man in North America and is going to hit the walls of Top Gun: Maverick’s soon. If we talk about its earnings of 1st January 2023 only, then it earned $24.4 million in just one day.

After the wait for almost 14 years finally, the creators decided to launch the sequel of the 2009 film Avatar on 16th December 2022. The American sci-fi movie is ready to break all the records and is based on the struggle of the Na’vi Sully family. The old characters who reappeared in the sequel are Sam Worthington, Dileep Rao, Stephen Lang, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Matt Gerald, and Zoe Saldana.
