Apple TV+ Show “We Crashed” Might release anytime soon

“WeCrashed,” a limited series chronicling the real-life rise and fall of coworking space startup WeWork, was announced by Apple TV+ late last year.

At the time, it was unclear what form the show would take or who would join the cast. We have, however, heard more buzz about the show as it progresses through preproduction, including information about the cast, the release date, and the potential plot.

In WeCrashed, we will follow the story of WeWork CEO and cofounder Adam Neumann and his wife, Rebekah Neumann, as their extravagant lifestyle comes crashing down around them as WeWork goes from startup unicorn to Silicon Valley pariah.

We’ve been getting juicy details here and there about what’s going on behind the scenes of this highly anticipated show, including the addition of a new cast member, even though the show is still in its early stages of production.

Release Date of “We Crashed”

The Apple TV+ show “WeCrashed” is still in the early stages of preproduction, with few details set in stone. However, one piece of information that can be used to estimate a release date for the series is its IMDB page, which indicates that the first episode will air in 2022 on Apple TV+.

While we have not been able to confirm this anywhere else, given that Apple plans to shoot the show later this year, a release date sometime next year would be consistent with the standard production window for a limited series of this nature.

According to sources, America Ferrena has joined the cast of the upcoming drama “WeCrashed.” Ferrena’s previous roles include those in the NBC sitcom “Superstore,” among other things. “Ugly Betty” is her most well-known role, and she is probably the most well-known actress in the world for it.

Throughout “WeCrashed,” she portrays the character of a WeWork employee whose life is drastically altered as a result of her close proximity to the Neumann couple.

In addition to Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway, who will play WeWork founder Adam Neumann and his wife, Rebekah Neumann, respectively, the cast will include other well-known actors. Earlier this year, Leto and Hathaway joined forces on the project, where they also serve as executive producers.

Plot for “We Crashed”

The documentary “WeCrashed,” based on the podcast of the same name, draws numerous parallels between WeWork, Uber, and AirBnB. Essentially, they leased commercial office space for long periods of time and rented it out to freelancers, small businesses, and other individuals. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company was valued at more than $47 billion prior to the publication of details about gross mismanagement, executive conflicts of interest, and quarterly losses that investors found difficult to swallow.

Neumann was accused of obscuring these red flags while taking personal loans from his company to fund his own personal ventures, spending lavishly on the company account, and even owning a stake in four WeWork-leased buildings.
