A mmWave antenna at the bottom window in the new U.S. version of iPhone’s frame can been seen in it’s design patent image. This mmWave antenna design is limited only to the U.S. iPhone 12 Pro.
The leading smartphone brand Apple has been conferred a series of total 8 design patents only for the U.S. version of iPhone 12 pro in Hong Kong.
This U.S. version of the iPhone 12 Pro is designed with a mmWave antenna window that’s not just for attractive or cool design, but for some new features and specs. However, Apple hasn’t hinted about this specification yet but expected to put it out soon.
The first look of this design is revealed by ‘Macworld’, a website that covers every update from Apple.
In total the company honed 8 design patents. And each design is filed with a set of 6 images. That’s quite simple now to calculate that Apple has proposed a total of 48 images for it’s U.S. iPhone 12 pro design patents.
However, these patents are not actually like “patent applications”. This “patent application” provides the public with an abstract, summary and complete details of an invention.
Whereas Apple design patents disclosed globally are limited to only providing with design patent images.
Moreover, there’s no additional specification of the patent designs are made available for the public.
The mmWave antenna window in the U.S. version iPhone 12 pro is said to filed under Locarno Classifications 14.
These classifications are as follows-
Classification 14-01: Equipment that is compatible for recording or imitation of sounds and pictures.
Classification 14-02: Equipment that is used for data processing as well as peripheral tools & devices.
