This game is based on Tim Burgess’ Twitter phenomenon ‘Tim In Listening Party Land’

Tim Burgess’ Twitter Listening Parties were based on escapism at the start of the first COVID lockdown. Music fans were taken on a journey through some of their favorite albums, from Oasis to Pulp, Blur, and others.

At 10 p.m., when the evening news was on, fans could tune out the impending tragedy and relive their youth by listening to albums from their youth, guided by the creators’ Twitter accounts.

To begin, Burgess told NME that the Listening Parties were “It’s an inclusive thing and it’s fun, which is something we need,” As Burgess predicted, the parties would grow into a genuine phenomenon over the next 18 months.

The Listening Parties celebrated their first year in the real world by performing at festivals and live events, as well as publishing a book commemorating their first year of existence.
