Adventures in Jurassic World 3: The Return of the Dinosaurs

A report by Forbes stated that filming for what is now referred to as Jurassic World: Dominion was scheduled to begin in February at London’s Pinewood Studios, which also served as the location for the original Jurassic World film. However, while it is true that the cameras did begin to roll, it is also obvious that they were unable to do so for a prolonged length of time as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Captain America: Civil War director Colin Trevorrow returns to Jurassic World 3 after his long-promised role as director of Star Wars: Episode IX (now known as Star Wars: The Return of Skywalker) was abruptly yanked by Disney, who sought the return of The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams in place of Trevorrow. Previous Jurassic World movies include Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World: The Last Stand. After J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) was unable to complete the film owing to schedule issues, he was hired to take over as director for Fallen Kingdom. Trevorrow also contributed to the writing of the script for the third instalment.

Trevorrow has, interestingly, already succeeded in whetting the appetites of moviegoers for Jurassic World 3 by surreptitiously filming a short film set in the Jurassic Universe, titled “Battle at Big Rock,” which can be viewed on the internet.

Writing of Jurassic World 3

Scriptwriter Emily Carmichael, who is still in her early twenties, contributed on the script for Jurassic World 3. (as well as the short “Battle at Big Rock”). Pacific Rim: Uprising, the 2018 sequel to the franchise’s first film, was her first screenwriting gig. She previously worked on the screenplay for Pacific Rim: Uprising. Aside from The Black Hole, which will be directed by Joseph Kosinski, who is best renowned for his work on Oblivion and TRON: Legacy, Carmichael has also reworked the screenplay for the upcoming Disney sci-fi reboot film, The Black Hole. As Trevorrow revealed in a 2018 statement on the acquisition of Carmichael: “Trevorrow also serves as an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg, who is joined by producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley.” Trevorrow also acts as an executive producer on the film. Trevorrow also collaborates with Steven Spielberg as an executive producer on the film.
