Speaker Names A New Press Secretary
(7/28/08) Georgia House Speaker Glenn Richardson has a new press
secretary. Marshall Guest has left Gov. Sonny Perdue’s employ
to go work on the Capitol’s 3rd floor. The appointment was
announced Monday. Before laboring in the governor's press shop,
Guest was a special aide to Senate President Pro Tem Eric Johnson.
"Marshall has several years of experience at the Capitol, first
in the Senate and then in the Governor's Office," Richardson
said. "He has proven himself in both capacities, and I am glad
to welcome him to my staff. He will be an asset to this office and
the House of Representatives as we continue to solve the problems
affecting our state and bring positive change to Georgia."
Guest, a UGA graduate, replaces Clelia Davis, who has assumed duties
as Richardson’s chief of staff.
