Insider Poll: Georgia's Junior Senator At Top Of Georgia Political Leaders

(9/24/07) An InsiderAdvantage / Majority Opinion survey of 500 registered voters shows Sen. Johnny Isakson with a statewide approval rating of 56%, higher than any other statewide official in Georgia. Isakson’s disapproval was 31%, with 13% undecided. The poll was conducted September 21-22 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4%.

InsiderAdvantage CEO Matt Towery said: “Johnny has reclaimed Republicans. He enjoys strong numbers with independents, and he even enjoys a reasonable amount of support from Democrats. He’s clearly the strongest political figure in Georgia right now, followed closely by Governor Perdue.”

An Insider poll last week showed Perdue with a 54% approval rating. Some 32 percent of respondents disapproved and 14 percent were undecided. That poll also had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.
