Poll:
Georgians Overwhelmingly Approve Perdue's
Performance In Water Crisis
(10/26/07) An InsiderAdvantage / Majority Opinion survey of 400
registered voters in Georgia, conducted Oct. 24-25, shows that an
overwhelming 64 percent approve of “the performance of Gov.
Sonny Perdue in dealing with Georgia’s water crisis.”
The poll indicated that only 26 percent disapproved, with 10 percent
saying they were undecided or had no opinion.
“Perdue is scoring above 50 percent among all three political
affiliations, including 55 percent of all Democrats,” said
InsiderAdvantage CEO and syndicated columnist Matt Towery.
“Obviously, the aggressive position he has taken with regard
to the Corps of Engineers and the federal government has been noticed
by the public. Clearly, the governor has the opinion of the people
of his state as a major bargaining chip in dealing with the political
issues surrounding the state’s water crisis,” he said.
The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 5 percent. It
was weighted for age, gender, race and political affiliation.
