The Florida Presidential Race
(6/14/07) Rudy Giuliani leads among Republican presidential hopefuls and Hillary
Clinton among the Democrats. So what’s changed among presidential preferences
by Florida voters since we last polled, and since the ballyhooed nationally
televised debates have commenced?
For the Republican field, Mitt Romney has slowly gained name ID, John McCain
has faltered a bit, and most importantly, unannounced but likely candidate Fred
Thompson is in second place.
Among Democrats, Hillary Clinton leads, although her lead over Barack Obama has diminished. Here are the results of our latest InsiderAdvantage poll:

The poll was conducted exclusively for Florida Insider and the InsiderAdvantage
Southern political media network by InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Research.
The survey was conducted June 6 and 7 among 500 registered Republican voters,
and 500 registered Democratic voters in Florida. The data have been weighted
for age, race, gender and party affiliation. The margin of error is plus or
minus 4%.
