Voters Prefer For State Government To Determine Transportation Funding Over Chambers of Commerce
(2/23/07) In the latest InsiderAdvantage / Majority Opinion Survey, 73 percent of voters said they preferred to leave transportation policy issues to those associated with state government - either state lawmakers or the people who work in the Department of Transportation - while 23 percent said they preferred for chambers of commerce to make the calls. Legislature: 34%
Department of Transportation: 39%
Local or State Chambers of Commerce: 27%
Survey conducted February 20-21 among 500 registered voters; margin of error plus or minus 4 percent. The sample group was weighted for age, race, gender, and political affiliation.
