Marty Klein Leaving State GOP
(12/10/07) A couple of changes to report today at the state GOP.
Marty Klein is leaving as executive director effective Dec. 31
to start a political consulting firm. Ben Fry, the party’s
political director, will replace Klein.
“For five years, Marty Klein has selflessly served the Georgia
Republican Party as communications director, political director,
and executive director,” said Chairman Sue Everhart. “There
is no staff member that has worked harder for longer to advance
our vision for effective, conservative government than Marty. All
of us at the party will miss his wisdom and leadership.”
Fry previously served as special assistant to Governor Perdue for
two and a half years. His political career began with an internship
at the Georgia Republican Party while attending the University of
Georgia.
